Permanent make up is a cosmetic technique which employs tattoos as means of producing designs that resemble make up, such as eye lining, and other permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips and eyelids. It is also used to produce artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost them as a result of old age and disease, such as alopecia totalis, chemotherapy.
At first, permanent makeup may look darker due to color remaining in the outermost epidermal layers of the skin. Within a few days the healing process will commence and colors will soften as the upper layers of the epidermis slough off and are replaced by new epidermal cells.
Microblading is performed by depositing pigment superficially in the upper region of the dermis with a use of a hand tool with attached needles fused together in a curvilinear grouping, and may involve the use of a machine with a specially device hygienic cartridge. Similar to permanent makeup brow treatments using a machine, the Microblading technique involves drawing individual, crisp hair strokes that can be very natural looking. The needles used come in a variety of diameters so that the thickness of each individual hair stroke can be customized to each client depending on the width of their natural hairs as to make the microblading process look more natural.
Immediately post treatment, eyebrows will appear darker than expected, but will fade 40% during the healing process over the following 2 weeks. The treatment is typically a 2 step application process.
The initial appointment includes consultation and initial application.
The second appointment six weeks later is to touch up and ensure longevity of the colors used. The 2nd application ensures that the micro-pigments are healing properly and responding well.
A 15 minutes consultation is recommended for Microblading Eyebrows.
